As far as turf is concerned, a preemergent should be applied for warm season grasses and a combination of a preemergent with fertilizer should be applied to cool season grasses. It appears that the water restrictions are going to be loosened, so spring would be a great time to get your new landscape installed. </span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Any other projects, including many types of hardscapes, can be done now. Outdoor kitchens and fireplaces are very hot right now and installing one or both of these really allows you to enjoy your yard that much more.
